Conditions Stipulated for Validity of Prayers
|Topic/Issue:||1290 - Conditions Stipulated for Validity of Prayers -- |
|Agreement:||The jurists agreed that things stipulated to be relinquished in prayer include words as well as acts.|
The acts include all acts permissible outside prayer that are not part of the prayer except minor movements, the killing of a scorpion or a snake (some disagreement)[A hadeeth reported by Abu Da'ud].
The words include all those are not part of prayer. The jurist agreed that they invalidate prayer, if uttered intentionally based on Ayah 2:238 and Ahadeeth of ibn Mas'ud and Zayd bin Arqam
|Majority||Speak due to forgetfulness or for the benefit of the prayers does not invalidate prayers.||Their evidence is the hadeeth of Dhul-Yadain|
|Imam Abu Hanifa||Any Speech invalidate the prayers without exception||The hadeeth of Dhul-Yadain is abrogated by other Ahadeeth and as being preferred over it..|
|It stems from the conflict of the apparent meaning of the traditions.|
|Evidences :||1 - Quran [2:238], 2 - Sunan Abi Dawud [# 921], 3 - Sunan Abi Dawud [# 924], 4 - Sahih Bukhari [# 1129], 5 - Sahih Bukhari [# 1156] [Hide/Show]|
