|Topic/Issue:||34 - Water left over by Muslims and Animals -- طهارة أسآر المسلمين وبهيمة الأنعام|
|Agreement:||The Jurist agreed that leftovers of other Muslims and animals we can eat are pure.|
|Shafi||It is pure (except in the case of Swine and dog)||The hadith of Abu Huraira|
|Malik||It is pure (except in the case of Swine)||The verse 6:145
leftover from the dog is allowed based on 5:4 because had the dog been unclean, the prey it caught would have become impure
|Malik (another opinion)||All animals are pure||Based on analogy. Death resulting wihtout slaughter is legally the cause of impurity of the animal's carcass, this implies that life must be basis of the purity of the body of animal. Hence each living creature is pure and hence their leftover.
The verse 6:145 is just meant for derogation.
|Hanafi||Depends upon the hukum of the flesh of the animal||Meaning of all traditions laid down about uncleanliness of leftover of beast of prey, cats and dogs relate to the prohibition of their flesh|

- Some added dog to the swine.
- Some said any animal we can’t eat, we can’t have their leftovers either.
